TAMPA FL – Amscot has stepped up as a key participant in the seventh annual Hearts & Soles 5K Walk/ Run event slated for Saturday, February 28 from 5pm-10pm. The annual race was created by the Homestead Police Department’s Start Off Smart (S.O.S.) coalition, which provides services to families that are at risk of abuse and neglect.

In addition to making a $500 contribution, Amscot has volunteered to set up the event which is being held at Homestead Sports Complex. Some of Amscot’s district leaders and compliance officers are also scheduled to participate in the 5k run. All attendees will enjoy live music, food trucks and a special section just for kids.

A police officer will be on hand assisting with Amscot’s free bike helmet giveaway (something Amscot has long been known for) and the company will offer other free gifts to event goers as well. Those interested in a career with Amscot can talk to a company recruiter who will also be on hand at the event.

Amscot Financial has more than 240 locations throughout Florida. The company offers check cashing, cash advances, and free money orders along with a host of other convenient financial services, 365 days a year.
