On July 8, Amscot recognized the good work of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Sarasota / Tampa Bay, Inc. with a $1,000 contribution at an Amscot Fun Day in Sarasota. The open-house event was held at Branch No. 11, 1155 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sarasota/Tampa Bay, Inc. serves the children of Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties. A child can be referred by one of the following sources: a medical professional treating the child, the child’s parents, legal guardians or even children themselves. The organization relies on the community not only for wish referrals, but also for support.
