On Sept. 9, Amscot Financial held a grand opening at Branch No. 101 at 4986 W. Colonial Drive in Orlando. Amscot Financial presented a $1,000 contribution to Bridging Lives, Inc. of Orlando.
The Bridging Lives foster home in Ocoee is a two-year-old facility that accepts only girls who have been placed in the care of the state of Florida. Typically, the youth at the home range in ages from 12 to 17. The maximum occupancy at Bridging Lives is six young ladies at any given time. One of the home’s main goals is building independent living skills through training and services that prepare young teenaged girls for the transition to becoming productive adults.
Amscot Financial’s contribution will support girls who would like to further their education in order to become independent.
