Amscot Financial contributes mini-grants to 11 non-profit service groups

Tampa, FL – (October 29, 2014) – Amscot Financial, a leading provider of convenient, consumer-oriented financial services, recently gave mini-grants of $250 to $1,500 to 11 non-profit service organizations in the Florida communities it serves. Mini-grants went to the following organizations:

  • PAL of Pinellas County, St. Petersburg. Pal provides positive activities for at risk youth. They are the mentoring, leadership training, homework help, safe sports and recreation place for these children. For more information, please visit: www.pinellaspal.com
  • South Lake Community Ministries, Clermont. They work with local public schools serving more than 500 students weekly providing backpacks with 6 meals and 2 snacks for week end consumption. Last year they provided over 60,000 meals. For more information, please visit: www.servingsouthlake.org

  • Great Exploration Museum, St. Petersburg.  Offers interactive exhibits, a preschool, after school enrichment, camps, field trips, targeted outreach, workshops for parents and caregivers, as well as leadership and volunteer opportunities for young adults.
