Amscot's Privacy Policy
Amscot recognizes the sensitive nature of your nonpublic personal information, and we take precautions to protect your privacy. When you provide us with this information, we will use it only in accordance with our strict guidelines.

We have prepared this policy to explain what types of information we collect, and under what circumstances we may share it with others. This policy covers check cashing, debit card, money order, money transfer, deferred presentment, tax preparation, and all other financial services transactions that you conduct with Amscot. We hope that you will thoroughly review all of the details of Amscot's official policy on privacy. Importantly, we want you to know and understand that Amscot uses your nonpublic personal information responsibly and only in order to:

Provide you with the financial products or services you have requested or authorized.
Offer you other financial products or services from Amscot.
Make doing business with Amscot more convenient and efficient for you.
In no event do we provide your nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of their products or services. We also maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to guard against the unauthorized disclosure of this information. Only in extremely limited circumstances, outlined below, do we share your information with persons outside of Amscot.
The Kinds of Information We Collect
Amscot collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
From you when you apply to conduct check cashing, debit card, money order, money transfer, deferred deposit, tax preparation, and other financial services transactions with us. When applying to Amscot to conduct these transactions, Amscot may ask you to provide information about your financial and household status, such as employment, income, expenses and dependents, as well as identifying information such as your address, telephone number, and social security number. Amscot may also ask you to provide documents reflecting this information to us such as account statements, Forms W-2 and stock records.
From your transactions with us. We maintain information about your transactions with Amscot including the types of transactions and payment history.
From the bank where you maintain your checking and other accounts.
From consumer credit reporting agencies and from persons we contact when we verify information you provide on applications to do business with us including your spouse, relatives, and employer.
How We Use This Information
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you or any of our former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. These disclosures include the following:
Within Amscot. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those of our employees who need to know such information to provide you with the products or services that you have requested. Our Information Security Program requires employees to maintain the confidentiality of your nonpublic personal information.
Companies With Whom Amscot Has Product or Service Agreements. In order to provide you with the financial products and services you request or authorize, Amscot will provide nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties with whom Amscot has an agreement to provide such products and services. Each of the companies with whom Amscot has product or service agreements has agreed to strictly safeguard the confidentiality of your nonpublic personal information, and they are not permitted to share this information without Amscot's permission or except as otherwise required by law.
Companies You Ask Us to Share Information With. Amscot may get permission from you to share your information. If you grant permission, it will only apply to the specific program or programs you consent to. If you have previously requested that we block the sharing of you information, that request will remain in place for all other situations.
Outside Service Providers. We have arrangements with nonaffiliated third parties to perform services for us including, among other things, marketing Amscot's products and services to you. These firms perform their services at Amscot's direction, and we share with them customer information that is necessary to perform these services. As with all of our business partners, these companies are required to safeguard your information and are prohibited from disclosing the information or using it in any manner other than to carry out the purposes for which Amscot disclosed the information
Consumer Reporting Agencies and Database Operators. It is standard industry practice and within federal and state law to provide data about customer repayment transactions and defaults to these agencies and other creditors. In addition, if you conduct a deferred presentment transaction with Amscot, Florida law requires that we disclose information about the proposed transaction to the operator of a state-wide database that monitors all such transactions of deferred presentment providers.
Courts and Government Bodies. Federal and state laws may require us to share information about you. For example, if you are involved in a legal matter with a third party, we may be ordered to provide information to a court or other party. In these circumstances, only the information required by law, subpoena or court order will be provided.
