AMSCOT PHISHING ALERT

Amscot customers are currently experiencing an increase in fraud schemes known as "phishing." While phishing has typically been associated with unsolicited emails, the new scams are using a combination of phone messages and toll-free numbers in their attempts to steal valuable personal and financial information from unaware consumers.

To help ensure that you do not become a victim of this fraud, please follow the
instructions below:

  • If you receive a phone call or an email claiming to be from Amscot asking you to log in to a site other than amscot.com, please do not log in to the site.
  • Never respond to unsolicited emails containing links, nor to emails asking you to verify account or personal information or email asking you to reactivate a service.
  • Never respond to a phone call or voice mail service asking you to verify account information or reactivate an Amscot Prepaid MasterCard®.
Amscot customer service will never verbally ask you to verify your information on the phone using your Amscot Card personal identification number (PIN).

If you believe you are a victim of fraud or suspect suspicious communication claiming to be from Amscot:

Customers who receive a suspicious email or phone call, or believe they have provided personal information in response to a fraudulent call or email should contact Amscot immediately at 1-800-333-6130. Customers can also forward any suspicious email to [email protected].
