Longwood, Fla., April 7, 2007 - Amscot Financial held an open house on Saturday, April 7, at 108 N. U.S. Highway 17-92 in Longwood. Amscot presented a $500 contribution to Charity Challenge, Inc, a non-profit organization that raises and distributes cash to dozens of social service agencies each year.

Charity Challenge, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Florida State Senator Lee Constantine of Altamonte Springs. Young adults from throughout Central Florida compete in six challenging, fun-filled, co-ed athletic events while giving back to the community at the same time.
Over the past 21 years, Charity Challenge has awarded over $2.5 million to hundreds of local charities. In 2006, Charity Challenge awarded $275,000 in cash to nearly 100 charitable organizations, including the University of Central Florida, Florida Hospital, the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, the Central Florida Helpline, and Christian Help.
