The Salvation Army of Hillsborough County is running full speed ahead during this time of year to raise funds through their Red Kettle Campaign with approximately 60 bell ringing sites throughout the county, requiring thousands of volunteers. Amscot Financial did their part by contributing to the cause and participating in the efforts.
Founder and CEO of Amscot Financial, Ian MacKechnie, rang bells in Downtown Tampa at Lykes Gaslight Park for the Third Annual ‘Kettles for Kids’ Event on Friday, December 2nd, 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
The event is an opportunity for senior executives from some of Tampa’s leading businesses to gather for a friendly competition to raise money for needy children and their families, accepting donations from passer-bys. The Salvation Army brass band also played holiday favorites. |

During tax season, it’s not uncommon to have a lot of questions, so this year, Amscot held a tax event to meet with people and explain the benefits of having their taxes professionally prepared and e-filed with our tax offices. The event was hosted at the Mobley Park Welcome Center on January 26, 2005 from 5-6:30pm. One of our tax preparers met with potential customers and explained the benefits of our services, and answered various
tax questions. |
